A few weeks ago I posted a blog about preventing heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Hopefully, everyone took heed and are following the proper steps to stay healthy this summer. In that article I asked everyone to wear a hat, loose fitting clothing and put on plenty of sunscreen when out in the sun.
A few weeks before that, I posted an article on preventing sunburn. Why all this caution about being out in the sun? Because it's Summer people and it's 100 degrees outside and folks our age are forgetful and we have a tendency to ignore good advice, especially our own.
Why am I bringing this up today?
Well, I ran across a video on YOUTUBE that is simply fascinating, if not downright scary. It shows your skin when exposed to ultraviolet light. That's right the same ultraviolet light that we are exposed to all day, everyday from the sun.
Please watch this video. It will change your mind about spending too much time in the sun. Hopefully, it will change your mind about using sunscreen.
I can only imagine what I look like in front of this camera.
If you found today’s blog helpful, interesting, or even funny, I bet your friends would too.
It's easy to tell them about it.
Forward it on to them or just email them my blog link at www.survive55.com.
