Does it seem like keeping up with the changes in Medicare is a full time job?
I feel the same way.
Well, the latest round of updates is out and my recommendation is to dig in, review the changes closely and make sure to find the best deal for you.
Unfortunately, these changes are not all created with your best interests in mind.
It appears that Baby Boomers will be facing significant increases to their existing premiums for prescription drugs.
Please carve out a few minutes to read this in-depth article by Medicare expert, Patricia Barry from AARP.
According to the research done by Patricia, millions of Medicare recipients could be hit with rising Part D prescription drug premium costs in 2015.
There is going to be a huge mix up in how the available plans are costed.
Nearly 10 million people now enrolled in six of the 10 largest Part D drug plans face premium increases ranging from 11% to 50% if they don't switch to a different plan.
In three other large plans, with nearly 3.5 million members, premiums may drop anywhere from 13% to 31% depending on needed benefits.
Do your homework.
Do not rely on the program you are signed up for today being the same next year.
