Go dip something will you.
Today, I'm going to touch a little bit on the subject of "health" and I hope to be a little more light hearted in my subject matter today.
From my conversations with my closest blog followers (all 2 of them) it appears that my blog entries are still way too long winded, complicated, involved, complex, rambling, discursive, profuse and overbearing and I do apologize.
Do they seem that way to you?
Sometimes my brain goes in directions I can't stop.
Maybe it's a part of me being in my 50's and I feel I really have a lot to say.
I was wondering: "Do you ever think about riding your bicycle to work rather than driving?"
How's that for being a lively and whimsical idea?
I think it's a great idea.
When the weather permits, everyone rides their bicycle to work.
No emissions or smog.
Noise would be drastically reduced down to just those cute little handlebar bells.
Imagine how cool the freeways would look.
Is it only one bike per lane?
Only bicycles built for two or more in the HOV lane?
Can you imagine how much fun it would be after work when everyone was leaving their parking garages and whizzing down from the upper levels.
Remember, still no texting!!!
Some of the topics I touched on were:
- What are the signs of our advancing years
- Why it's important to make your health a priority
- What can we do to slow down the march of time
- How do we stack up health wise against the rest of the 50+ population.
Even though my blog is directed toward the Baby Boomer Generation, not all of us are the same age, in the same physical condition nor do we treat our health issues the same way.
From start to finish, our generation spans a total of 18 years.
But as we look at our health, what benchmarks can we use to decide what shape we are in and what we need to do to add years to our years?
Today, I wanted to offer you wonderful people a snapshot of what is considered the "average" male in our world, the good old United States of America.
Nothing serious here, just a few things to make you go "hum" or say "really?"
These are not meant to be meticulously researched and scientifically documented facts but an amusing and peculiar look at the world around us.
Tomorrow, I will do the same for my female followers.
Among the total population, there are more 50-year-olds in the United States right now than any other single-age group.
No wonder we feel like we belong, huh?

The average man is married with two children
The average 50+ year old man earns $36,100 per year in the U.S.
The latest figures show that they have a savings account of just over $3000 but that number probably needs to be re-evaluated since the economic bubble burst in the late 2000's.
When asked the question "How much money do you make in a year?" the 50+ year old male population replied:

According to men 50 years and older their definition of success is: "A job that leaves me emotionally fulfilled and personally content."
I was pretty disappointing when I read that answer.
I have always thought that my generation was too smart to feel that their personal success was based on a "job"

The average male member in all its glory is six inches long and five inches in circumference.
The biggest "unit" on record is 12 inches, erect.
OK, I only threw that in because I knew every red blooded American male wanted to know and would have probably wasted a good hour or so of their time researching it on the internet.
Here's a quick test………
Hold up your right hand.
Are your index and ring fingers mismatched?
Congratulations, you're more likely than men with matching digits to have a longer penis.
OK, I threw that in too because it was interesting.
