I didn't want to jump back into the "health" arena so fast in my blog but I am going to anyway because "it's my blog and I can do what I want" (that sounds like a new generation song for Eric Burdon and the Animals).
Let's see if this has ever happened to you.
Have you ever woke up and the sun was shining and the birds were chirping and you could smell the scent of the early morning dew on the flowers and grass and you roll out of bed and almost fall on the floor because you ache all over and feel 20 years older than you really are?
Or how about the same scenario but you bounce out of bed, grab a cup of coffee, sing in the shower and feel like a million bucks ready to conquer the day?
Strangely enough, the experience of being in your 50's can be a daily roller coaster of different adventures : you feel good or every joint in your body is sore, you are happy or you are overwhelmed and stressed, you feel life is great or you ask yourself "do I really have to face the world again."
But overall, how is your real state of mind? Do you wake up most of the time feeling good and in a good frame of mind? Is your life full of excitement, adventure and fun?
I am happy and invigorated and ready to experience more of what this world has to offer.
Physically, I feel great (Ya' sure a few joints creak and are a little stiff but what the heck) and mentally I have a strong sense of urgency to get something accomplished.
In general, I am excited about life.
I asked myself why and I think its because I feel so strong physically and mentally. I actually look forward to being completely exhausted and physically drained at the end of a day.
So curiosity got the best of me and I decide to see how many people felt this way and if it was normal to "not act your age."
Again, don't shoot me but I found this test (and supporting results and recommendations) on the Dr. Oz website.
You can link to it there or directly at www.realage.com.
What's the RealAge test?
It's a unique calculation of your body's health age.
In other words it tells you how young or old your body thinks you really are.
The test was created by top doctors, including Dr. Oz and Dr. Mike Roizen, and is powered by the latest medical research.
It has been created in response to a "perfect storm" of scientific coincidences.
In the last 2 or 3 years, a group of big, long studies wrapped up one after the other, which changed much of our knowledge about what makes you grow old too fast -- and what makes you stay young longer.
I highly recommend that you spend the time to seriously complete this test.
If you find you are younger than your chronological age (which I am but I could be better) then use this information to fine tune what ails you and give yourself a pat on the back for being a healthy, responsible human being.
Take the test !!!
It's easy to tell them about it.
Forward it on to them or just email them my blog link at www.survive55.com.
The more Baby Boomers we can help; the better place we make this world !!!
